Product Description

The Garden of the Tuileries on a Winter Afternoon 1899 Camille Pissarro French. Historical artwork by the masters that are in the public domain. #styleathome #homedecor #paintingsforhome #classicalart #gift #holidaygift #artlovergift In December 1898 Pissarro wrote from Paris that he had "engaged an apartment at 204 rue de Rivoli, opposite the Tuileries, with a superb view of the garden, the Louvre to the left, in the background the houses on the quays behind the trees, to the right the Dôme des Invalides, and the steeples of Sainte-Clotilde behind clumps of chestnut trees. It’s very beautiful. I shall have a fine series to paint." During the following winter and spring he painted eight cityscapes looking toward the Louvre, and six, like this one, of the Tuileries Gardens with Sainte-Clotilde in the background. Designed for indoor use, custom stretched canvas prints are made from treated cotton - providing the smoothest of matte surfaces for exceptional design vividity. A combination of quality and durability, these hangings come with a lifelong color guarantee; there's significant confidence in their withstanding the test of time. On the backside, pre-installed hanging hardware ensures proper locking to walls.

Colors may vary slightly during the printing process.
